We’re happy to announce our 2026 Annual Scholarship recipient, Fitchburg High School future graduate, Nicholas Bittner!

Nicholas is looking forward to researching forest ecosystems and wildlife biology, while learning about local natural resource management as he pursues a dual degree in Environmental Studies and Biological Sciences at Dartmouth College. He says “Environmental science is a huge passion of mine, and this scholarship will support my environmental journey into my academic future. I am so grateful for this honor from the WCCD, and will be sure to give updates on my work in sustainability.”
