Pollinator powerhouse with blue-purple flowers thrives in sandy soil.  Once a common wildflower, sundial lupine has massively declined along with the important habitat it provides. This plant is a vital host and/or nectar source for numerous native bees and butterflies. Lupine has a tap root so it must be carefully tended when transplanted but once it is established it is relatively low maintenance.

Size: 4″ pot

Sometimes known as Wild Lupine, there is an effort to call this plant Sundial Lupine to distinguish it from Western Lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus) which is also know as Wild Lupine and can spread aggressively in the Northeast where it is not native.
