A medium-sized evergreen tree with fan-like branches. Grows best in cool conditions, moist soil as it is naturally found in swamps. However, can tolerate a wide variety of soils and light conditions once established. Mature tree height: 40-60 feet. Mature spread: 10-15 feet. Excellent privacy screen, living fence or wildlife planting.  Native to Massachusetts.

Size: 6-10″ bare root seedling

Has many names; American arborvitae, Eastern arborvitae, Eastern white cedar, swamp cedar, or the Atlantic red cedar. Northern white cedars provide good winter habitat and food for birds and deer. Protect saplings from browsing. Rot resistant wood is soft, light-colored, durable and aromatic.
