Heirloom variety. Large, delectable all-purpose fruit. Northern Spy produces fairly late in the season (late October and beyond) and is an excellent keeper – with proper storage you’ll be eating into the spring. The white flesh is juicy and crisp aIt’s characteristic flavor is tarter than most popular varieties, part of the reason it’s renown as a pie apple. On semi-dwarf rootstock, will grow to ~15′ tall. 3/8-7/8″ caliper.
