Numerous white flower heads with lavender shading. Flowers bloom mid-spring to early summer. Leaves will turn to brilliant red in fall and persist into early winter. It is typically about 3 feet tall but can reach up to 5 feet in height. Grows in meadows and fields, attracting a wide range of pollinators, typically long-tongued bees due to the length of the tubular flowers. Attracts bees and hummingbirds. Good for cut flowers, good for containers. Resistant to deer and rabbits. Full to partial sun, average to dry soils. Native to Southeastern US.
