“Blue Ice” is clump-forming, with pyramidal clusters of star-like, blue flowers in spring. Grows 15-18″ tall. Attractive bright yellow foliage in fall. Native to the southern and southeastern United States, and northern Mexico, but its natural range does not reach New England. It may be found on lake shores in Massachusetts, probably escaped from gardens where it is grown as an ornamental. Photo Credit: John D. Byrd, Mississippi State University, Bugwood.org
