Blooms in early spring with fragrant white flowers that attract pollinators. While it can grow up to 6” tall, it generally forms low thickets about 3′ tall, in contrast with the other species in the genus. Grows about 4-10″ wide. Tolerates a wide range of soil types and moisture.  Low maintenance. Excellent as a shrub border, in rock gardens, erosion control, or an understory plant. Native to Massachusetts.

Size: 6-12″ bare root seedling

Also known as running serviceberry and dwarf shadbush. Fleeting red-purple berries in early summer are a favorite of many bird and mammal species. Host species for butterflies and moths.
