Dwarf Serviceberry (Amelanchier spicata)

5 for $15

This species is also known as running serviceberry. It stays low and forms loose colonies or thickets. Covered with beautiful white flowers in early spring and with delicious but fleeting berries in early summer, this plant is excellent as a shrub border or in rock gardens. The fruit is a favorite of many bird and mammal species. It can be used to naturalize areas in the understory where shrubs are preferred, or to provide some erosion control along stream banks.

12-18″ bare root seedling
