Downy Serviceberry (Amelanchier arborea)

Showy white flowers bloom in spring just as leaves emerge. After the flowers pass, tasty berries appear. Use as a small tree in mixed borders or foundation plantings. This plant supports numerous butterfly and bird species, with a fall color that puts the invasive burning bush to shame.
