Semi-dwarf tree that grows 10-15′ tall and 10′ to 15′ wide. Cortland apple tree is spreading with an upright, vase-shaped form. The trees have moderate resistance to fire blight and apple scab. Cortland apples have mid-season bloom beginning in April with pink buds followed by abundant white flowers. Trees usually begin to bear after 4 to 6 years. Large red fruits are ready to pick in September. They are crisp, sweet and tart. Great for pies, making cider and eating. Cortlands reliably bear heaven crops each season. Self-pollinating.
