Volunteering

Our board meetings are open to the public and can choose to attend in person or remotely. We offer both options. Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 9:30-11:30 (latest). Consider attending a meeting to see if WCCD is the right fit for you as an associate member which is the first step to becoming a voting supervisor.  In person meetings are held at the USDA Service Center Conference Room, 52 Boyden Road in Holden. Virtually via Zoom. Please contact  if you would like the meeting link.

Volunteering as a conservation district supervisor or associate member plays an important role for the district in addressing conservation issues ranging from climate change to loss of critical habitat to invasive species. Each of which threatens the health of our natural environment and our quality of life. Our supervisors support our programs, provide valuable educational, technical and financial assistance to communities and landowners. Our programs help to protect vital natural resources and implement responsible conservation practices.

Additional volunteering opportunities include assisting with renovation of community gardens in Worcester, and assisting during our spring seedling sale with receiving seedling inventory, sorting, and packing. Visit our Seedling Sale page to learn more about volunteering here
