Tolerates drought but not wetness. Grows to 40-80 feet tall and 12-20 feet wide if allowed to mature. Grows in Full Sun or Partial Sun. Native to western North America.

Seeds are used by songbirds, squirrels, rabbits and other small animals. Provides cover year round. In old forests they get to be 150+ feet tall with trunk diameter of 5-6 feet!
